UnitedHealth Group dropped thousands of doctors from its insurance plans due to government cuts to Medicare Advantage services.

The Wall Street Journal reported that doctors in at least 10 states were notified of being laid off the plans.

UnitedHealth spokesman Tyler Mason was not available for comment when Reuters contacted the company with questions.
